| Minutes of Meeting | MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF BOARD OF THE DIRECTORS OF ROTARY CLUB OF AKURDI HELD ON WEDNESDAY THE 8TH APRIL, 2019 AT 5:00 P.M. THROUGH VIDEO CONFERENCE. DIRECTORS PRESENT 1. Rtn. Jignesh Agarwal : President 2. Rtn. Shashikant Sharma : Secretary 3. Rtn. Sachin Parekh : Treasurer 4. Rtn. Ganesh Jamgaonkar : Foundation Director 5. Rtn. Pushpa Pamnani : Youth Director 6. Rtn. Sameet Deshpande : Director – IT & PR 7. Rtn. Kalyani Kulkarni : Club Admin 8. Rtn. Santosh Agarwal : Club Trainer PRESIDENT: Rtn. Jignesh Agarwal being present occupied the chair and conducted the proceedings of the meeting. He welcomed board of directors at the meeting. 1. REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF LAST BOARD MEETING: Minutes of previous Board meeting held on 6th March, 2020 have been approved. 2. TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM CLUB ACCOUNT TO TRUST ACCOUNT President informed to the Board that it was suggested by members that due to COVID-19 pandemic our regular club meetings could not be conducted, thus, the amount should be transferred to Trust Account and should be used for COVID-19 relief projects. President recommended transfer of Rs. 15,000/- from Club Bank Account to the Trust Account. He further informed that Rtn. Gautam Shah has donated Rs. 10,000/- for COVID-19 relief projects but the amount was transferred to Club Account, hence, the same must be transferred to Trust Accounts. After the discussion it was decided to transfer Rs. 25,000/- (Rs. 15,000/- + Rs. 10,000/-) from Club Bank Account to the Trust Bank Account. 3. DG VISIT: President informed to the Board that DG visit which was scheduled on 10th April, 2020 but could not be held due to COVID-19. He informed that it was advised by the DG to have a video conference meeting with DG in the first week of May – 2020. President asked to all the Board members to prepare for the DG Visit. He added that date of meeting will be finanlized after the discussion with DG. 4. DG ELECTION President informed the Board that DG Election (for the year 2022-23) would be held tentatively in the month of May -2020. Currently, three candidates namely, Rtn. Anil Parmar, Rtn. Meetatai Borathe and Rtn. Chandrakant Patil have filed their nomination for the Election. 5. PROJECTS : President informed the Board that the Club has distributed food packets to the needy people in this deadly COVID-19 pandemic. President informed that Rtn. Nitesh, Rtn. Sachin, Rtn. Gul, Rtn. Jignesh, Rtn. Gautam, Rtn. Vijay, Rtn. Amit, Rtn. Pravin, Rtn. Pushpa, Rtn. Prakash & Rtn. Navin have contributed for the project. All the Board members have appreciated the contribution made by these Rotarian for this much needed project. President further informed that Club has 150 food packets available for distribution. After the discussion it was decided that 50 food packets will be distributed to Bhosari MIDC area and 100 food packets will be distributed to Dattawadi & Vittahalwadi area. It was decided that food packets will be donated to those who do not have Ration Card (mainly to migrant labours) as they cannot avail state government benefits. 6. ADMIN It was decided to conduct a Zoom meeting for the members. Rtn. Kalyani Kulkarni, Club Admin will take necessary steps and conduct a video conference meeting for the members. 7. GLOBAL GRANT PROJECT: President informed the Board that during this COVID-19 pandemic Rotary International has eased norms for Global Grant Projects for the projects relating to COVID-19 pandemic e.g. donation of Ventilators or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits etc. Rtn. Santosh Agarwal and Rtn. Sachin Parekh said that they will contribute $ 1000 and Rs. 75,000/- if RC Akurdi take this Global Grant Project. It was decided to appoint Rtn. Shashikant Sharma as Chairman for Global Grant Committee and find out required documents for the Project and place before the Board by tomorrow 5:00 P.M. It was decided to have a Board meeting on 9th April, 2020 at 5:00 P.M. via video conference to discuss and decide about this Global Grant Project.
