| Minutes of Meeting | Minutes of the 2nd Meeting of Board of Directors for 2023-24 of Rotary Club of Akurdi held on 5th Day of Aug, 2023, at 6:30 pm at the residence of Rtn. He welcomed the board of directors. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS BOARD MEETING Board took note of the previous board meeting held on July 1, 2023. Minutes circulated earlier, were reviewed and approved by the board REVIEW OF ACTION ITEMS FROM PREVIOUS BOARD MEETING 1 Status of accounts from previous year Accounts have been finalized and ready with CA 2 Rotaract Club of Akurdi Phoenix Youth director was not present. President provided update that RI has not yet taken action to terminate the club 3 Status on resigned members As Director Membership was not available, President provided updates on various members who had tendered their resignation 4 Stewardship Committee for past projects Rtn Kalyani Kulkarni will provide the update on forming of the committee in next board meeting CLUB ADMIN UPDATE Rtn Seema Sharma provided the plan for the next 4 weeks. The President shared the results of the meeting day, time and venue survey conducted in earlier weeks. 70% of the 23 respondents voted to continue to meet on Sunday morning 9 am. It was resolved to accept the popular vote. There was a discussion on the venue and the need to optimize meeting expenses. It was resolved to continue to meet at Hotel Kalasagar and explore options with the hotel management on cost optimization. SERVICE PROJECTS Rtn Gautam Shah appraised the board regarding the visit to OncoCare hospital in Talegaon. The hospital has requested support to setup an ICU facility for cancer patients. Cost of the project is 40L. The population in the vicinity served by the hospital is 25L. The hospital will provide ICU care free of cost to all patients. It was resolved to study the project in more detail and make it a candidate through a CSR partner Rtn. Shah informed that 1 E-Learning kit was given to school in Junnar. It was donated by Rtn. Shah. It was proposed and agreed that going forward, the beneficiary school would need to contribute 20% of the overall cost of the E-Learning kit The board decided that it was necessary to review the sustainability of the sanitary pad machines already installed at various schools before distributing more machines. The club could look at focusing on vocational courses instead as this can provide longer term benefits. It was proposed and agreed that the President and CSR director would attend the CSR meet hosted by RC Nigdi. Club to showcase Sukanya project FOUNDATION District has recognised contributions made to the Foundation by Rtn Jaswinder Sokhi and Rtn Shashikant Sharma MEMBERSHIP 8 prospective members being actively pursued. 3 will complete 3 meetings next week and will be eligible to be inducted as members. If Board approves membership and club dues are paid, these members will be inducted on Aug 27 Several Board members have expressed reservations about the suitability of a prospective member of our club. IT Director Sanjay has resigned from the club. His position on the board needs to be filled TREASURER Club dues received from 13 members. RI and District dues to be paid by Aug 15 TRUST MEETING President proposed to call tryst meeting to discuss and approve formalities related to compliances and other business OTHER DISCUSSIONS Rtn Umang brought up issues related to low discipline and side bars during formal meetings. It was suggested that the Secretary request members to observe appropriate decorum. Next BoD would be hosted by Rtn Gautam Shah. Date and venue to be decided later Rtn.
